How many tickets are available?
There are 180 tickets which have now sold out. Who will be at this event? Mathematicians, maths teachers, maths lovers, robots... What are the timings? You can download the full programme here. What's the catering? There will be prosecco on arrival and you will also be given three drinks tokens to use at the bar. These can be exchanged for house wine, bottled beer or soft drinks. After you've used your free tokens you're welcome to buy additional wine, beer, spirits or soft drinks from the pop-up bar. Please note that the bar only takes cards (no cash). Canapés (listed here) will be served at 8pm. What's the hashtag? Please tweet using the hashtag #humblepi. Where's the after-party? When the event finishes you're welcome to join us at SAMA Bankside. It's a five minute walk away and has a DJ until 1.30am. |
How do I get there?
The address is 18 Upper Ground SE1 9PD. It's very close to Blackfriars, Southwark and Waterloo. Click here for transport information. If you get the tube to Blackfriars you'll have to walk across the bridge. If you get the train to Blackfriars make sure you leave the platform at the South Bank exit and then you won't have to cross the Thames. Click here for detailed instructions to find the building if you get lost on the night! What's the dress code? Smart. It's a really nice venue so no jeans, hoodies or trainers please! Where can I stay? Rooms at the beautiful Sea Containers hotel next door currently start at £240. There are dozens of hotels in the vicinity including the Premier Inn Southwark, Premier Inn Waterloo and the Travelodge Southwark. A cheap option that is only 18 minutes walk away is the Premier Inn London Farringdon. Alternatively you're welcome to use the corporate account code 113150430 to get a discount at the Hilton London Bankside.
